This instrument is designed with Coulometric titration concept, use Micro-processor system to control the temperature of High temperature furnace , measure the result of Coulometric titration, use computer to do data analysis, display the result and manage communication with micro-processor system, This Instrument can work with two different models, 1) On line working model – work with computer system, 2)Off line working model—work without computer system.
After power on, when display shows welcome menu, press Number key, enter online working model, press Direction key, enter offline working model, without press any key, system will enter latest exiting working model automatically.

Basic design concept
Coal sample will burn with refined air flow under 1150 degree high temperature, all kinds of sulfur inside of coal will burn and decompose SO2 and few SO3 , air flow carry these SO2 and SO3 into electrolyzer, react with water to create H2SO3 and few H2 SO4, these two elements damage iodine of electrolyzer –potassium iodide determine potential balance, the instrument measure electrode and if it measured voltage change, auto control circuit will electrolyze Potassium iodide to create iodine in order to consume electric quantity, then use micro-processor system to control, collect and transfer data to computer system for analysis and result display.
Structure and assembly layout
1. Computer system:Responsible to run program , provide user interface, display temperature of high temperature furnace, measurement sulfur result, sample position..etc, receive user order to complete measurement, data query and printing....etc , connect with micro-processor system through serial interface.
2. Micro-processor system: responsible for control temperature increase of high temperature furnace, collect data, receive order from computer system to complete measurement process. 3. High temperature furnace:tube type furnace, the heating element used double thread silicon carbon tube with model type φ40/30×400, it sleeved with corundum protective tube, filled with aluminum silicate cotton to achieve higher thermal insulation performance 4. Electrolyzer:material used transparent organic glass, capacity is about 400ml, couple of platinum electrolytic electrode and couple of indicator electrode are fixed with upper cover. Use rubber seal to seal Upper cover with case. Electrolytic electrode surface is 1x1.5 cm2, cathode is in the center of electrolyzer, anode is at edge of electrolyzer, indicator electrode surface is 0.5x1cm2, there is sintered glass melt plate air filter installed inside of electrolyzer, nebulize the released air after burning so that it stirs with electrolyte perfectly. 5. Magnetic stirring apparatus:rotate speed of motor is adjustable, stirring speed is around 500 cycle/min. make sure the stirring speed is fast enough to get accurate analysis data, but be caution if the stirring speed is too fast, it will cause stirring fall out step. 6. Air cleaning unit:the unit combined with electromagnetic pump, air flower meter(0~1000 ml/min) and dryer.
Offline operation manual
The instrument has operation panel with 16 touch buttons , 10 number keys ,4 direction keys, 1 confirm key , 1 return key , key board list is as below
【1】 Definition of key 1: C is return key: return previous menu and terminate test during experiment. 2: OK is confirm key: enter next menu, enter test program 3: ←↑↓→4 direction key: use to move cursor 4: 10 number keys: use to input number 【2】Screen display and keyboard operation Stand by status:after power on the instrument, screen display welcome message, after seconds, enter stand by status, furnace temperature is displayed in left upper screen, voltage is displayed in middle upper screen, time is displayed in right upper screen, cursor point to “sample making” as default,press ↑↓key to move cursor to change selected item, press “ OK” to enter selected item that cursor pointed , below are details explanation of each item menu (1)When cursor point to “ sample making” , press “Ok” or press number key, enter data input menu, you can input sample weight, change sample no, input moisture ratio, input sample weight “00”,means do sample test, for normal sample making, the sample weight can not be “0”,after input number, press “Ok” , enter normal sample making program ,menu shows as below, press C” to terminate test. (2)When cursor point to “ temperature control”, press “Ok” ,screen display as below: test person can check all parameters of temperature controller, understand the performance of temperature controller. (3)When cursor point to “ Record”, press “OK” ,screen display last time test record, press ↑↓button to check latest 30 test record, press “ok” to print record, (4) When cursor point to “setting” ,press “ok” ,enter setting menu, you can set up furnace temperature and time, after input, press “ok” , the new setting data automatically saved, press “c” to exit without saving. (5)When cursor point to “correction” , press “ok”, screen display as below, you can check and change deviation table, total factor, after input number, press”O(jiān)k”, new data will save automatically, press “C” to exit without any saving.
